Media Production

Photography & Videography

In addition to teaching students how to wield a camera, I love framing my surroundings with my own DSLR or phone camera, for work and pleasure (see my photo at Yellowstone, to the left). My professional video work includes educational shorts, industrial videos, and wedding videography. As a publicist, I have documented graduations, conferences, festivals, and more through still photography.

Video Editing & DVD Production

I have edited dynamic trailers for new film restorations like The Mystery of Picasso (Henri-Georges Clouzot, 1956) and No Maps on My Taps (George Nierenberg, 1979), pictured right. For Milestone Films, I also produced award-winning DVDs/Blu-rays such as Bless Their Little Hearts (Billy Woodberry, 1984) and Rocco and His Brothers (Luchino Visconti, 1960).

Archiving

For the Media History Digital Library, I have digitized hundreds of historical documents, most of them pressbooks for Hollywood studios both major and peripheral (see Monogram Pictures, pictured left). I have also processed massive, born-digital collections for the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research and produced oral histories for the archive’s donors.
